Mechanical Site Supervisor – Mechanical Building Services
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join a growing Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering projects across Louth and the Greater Dublin area.
This position is ideally suited to a time-served plumber or mechanical professional who enjoys leading teams on site, taking ownership of project delivery, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and workmanship are achieved.
Working closely with Senior Project Managers, Operations Teams and Clients, you will play a key role in coordinating mechanical installations from commencement through to testing, commissioning and handover.
The Role
As Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of mechanical works on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme requirements.
You will lead site operatives and apprentices, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, monitor quality standards, and ensure all site activities are carried out in line with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical installations including pipework, plumbing and associated mechanical services.
- Review drawings, blueprints and mechanical layouts using Procore construction software.
- Attend pre-start meetings and identify potential programme, design or installation issues.
- Lead and coordinate site operatives, apprentices and subcontractors.
- Ensure all works are completed to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Liaise with Project Managers, contractors, consultants and clients throughout project delivery.
- Monitor progress against programme and address any delays or site issues.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
- Manage RFIs, variations, damages and out-of-scope works through Procore.
- Coordinate material requirements and delivery schedules with procurement teams.
- Oversee testing, commissioning and project handovers.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Deliver toolbox talks and promote a positive safety culture on site.
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served Plumber with strong mechanical installation experience.
- Previous experience in a Mechanical Site Supervisor, Foreman or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services and commercial installations.
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver projects to programme deadlines.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and site compliance.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Valid Safe Pass and relevant site safety certifications.
- Willingness to travel across multiple project locations.
