Mechanical Contracts Manager – Building Services & M&E Projects

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join a growing Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering projects throughout Dublin and the surrounding areas.

This role is ideal for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager who enjoys leading multiple projects, managing client relationships, driving commercial performance, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.

You will play a key role in overseeing project delivery from pre-construction through to completion while working closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors and senior management.

The Role

As Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple mechanical projects simultaneously, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest technical and quality standards.

You will oversee project programmes, budgets, procurement, contractual matters and client relationships while providing leadership and direction to operational teams across a range of commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple mechanical projects concurrently from award through to completion

• Ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget and to agreed quality standards

• Prepare project budgets, programmes, health & safety documentation and project initiation plans

• Monitor project performance and provide regular reports to senior management

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and internal delivery teams

• Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders

• Attend site meetings and coordinate project activities across live sites

• Oversee procurement activities, purchase orders, valuations and variation management

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety, statutory and regulatory requirements

• Identify and resolve project risks, delays and technical challenges

• Support commercial performance through effective cost control and financial management

• Ensure projects are delivered in line with client expectations and contractual obligations

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager within the Irish market

• Strong background managing mechanical projects for an M&E or Mechanical Contractor

• Mechanical qualification desirable

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical building services installations

• Knowledge of mechanical coordination and building modelling processes

• Proven leadership experience managing project teams and subcontractors

• Commercially aware with strong budgeting, cost control and financial management skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

• Excellent report writing and administrative skills

• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages

• Ability to work under pressure and deliver projects to demanding deadlines
