The Role
Due to continued growth, we are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing business based in Strabane. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer looking to join a fast-paced production environment where reliability, quality and continuous improvement are key priorities.
Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns and supporting production to minimise downtime and maximise plant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production machinery and site equipment.
- Respond quickly and effectively to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
- Fault find on PLC-controlled machinery and automation systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Diagnose faults using electrical testing equipment.
- Maintain conveyors, motors, sensors, drives, control panels and production equipment.
About YouEssential
- Time-served Electrical Maintenance Engineer or equivalent qualification.
- Experience within a food manufacturing, FMCG or production environment.
- Strong PLC fault-finding experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
